Description:

The Clerk will perform administrative office work to support the requirements of the department and ensure overall efficiency of office operations. Some of the responsibilities for this position will include but are not limited to the following:
  • Sort and distribute mail to ensure correspondence is directed to appropriate personnel.
  • File correspondence, forms, and other documents to maintain accurate records and information regarding office activities.
  • Responsible for scanning all pertinent documents related to all procurement transactions
  • Answer and direct telephone calls to ensure response to inquiries are completed.
  • Greet visitors and direct them to appropriate personnel.
  • Responsible for developing file system and distributing procurement files to external or internal clients requesting them.
  • Conduct random file audits to ensure accuracy and proper documentation.
  • Review service requests for accuracy and completion and file appropriately.
  • Schedule jobs to be surveyed and documents estimated and actual costs.
  • Develops and implements procedures to ensure tasks are complete efficiently to achieve desired results.

Requirements:

This position requires High School Diploma or G.E.D. Certificate. Minimum two (2) year previous office experience is desired as well as computer literacy (i.e. Microsoft Office). This position requires effective verbal and written communication skills, professional office behavior, and effective organization skills.

The Minimum Salary for this position is: $19,537.00
