CHA welcomes continuing support and involvement of public, private, and non-profit stakeholdersThe City of Chicago has been instrumental to the success of the Plan through the services provided by several of its departments.

The Chicago Department of Planning and Develop- ment participates in the working groups that shape the plans for our mixed-income com- munities.

The Chicago Department of Transportation coor- dinates the construction of new streets, sewer lines and other key infrastructure on and around CHA properties undergoing redevelopment.

The Chicago Department of Housing has helped broker funding for the construction of CHA’s new mixed-income communities.

The Chicago Department of Human Services has administered our Service Connector program, which provides guidance to residents seeking employment, substance-abuse counseling and other resources that promote personal growth.

The Plan for Transformation, as a whole, is conducted in cooperation with the United State Department of Housing and Urban Development.
