Resident & Section 3 Businesses

Tradesmen The purpose of Resident Owned Businesses (ROB) is to create new economic opportunities for public housing residents that mirror the world of entrepreneurship. As a Resident Owned Business, any and all residents that are eligible if all requirements have been met according to 24CFR 963.10 will be able to secure economic opportunities on a special basis.

The Chicago Housing Authority’s Business Development Division assists small business-es operated by low-income individuals and residents of the Chicago Housing Authority through providing resources needed to develop, plan and market their businesses to the public and private sectors.

GraduatesROBs and other low income businesses that respond to CHA procurement opportunities shall comply with the CHA Resident Owned Business and Section 3 Policy requirements.
