CHA supports several programs dedicated to helping residents begin a job or advance their career.  In 2021, over 500 CHA adults were connected to new or better jobs. Hospitality Training Program

Learn in-demand skills to work in a short-term or long-term hospitality training and employment program focused on the food service and hospitality industries. Both programs below are open to public housing residents and HCV participants.

  • The Golden Diners: 9-month transitional job program providing training and employment in food service and hospitality industries. Placements are in CHA’s senior buildings.
  • Summer Food: 11-week transitional job program providing training and employment in food service and hospitality industries. Placements are made at CHA’s Summer Food Service Program sites. The program application is available each year in the Spring. The application period is March 1 - March 31st each year, and during this time the application can be found at https://summerfoodsemployment.thecha.org/.
