CHICAGO (May 16, 2022): The Chicago Housing Authority announced today that its Board of Commissioners meeting scheduled for tomorrow, Tuesday, May 17, 2022 is being moved from an in-person to virtual format.

The move comes after CHA CEO Tracey Scott tested positive for Covid-19 over the weekend. Scott began experiencing symptoms late last week and has been in isolation per CDC guidelines.

“We’ve seen very clearly over the past few weeks that the Covid virus is still with us. The good news is I’ve been vaccinated and boosted and my symptoms have been mild,” said Scott. “I strongly encourage anyone who hasn’t been vaccinated or boosted yet to take advantage of the many opportunities to do so.”

Start times for the Board meeting and Committee meetings remain the same, with Committee meetings beginning at 8:30am and the full Board meeting scheduled to begin at 9:30. The schedule can be viewed here.

Members of the public are invited to view the Board Meeting online at https://youtu.be/y0kBuTEK9oc.

Registered speakers who received confirmation to speak during public participation will receive a call this afternoon to provide instructions to access the meeting.
