Development Update: 1237 N. California Opens

CHA joined Hispanic Housing Development Corporation and the City of Chicago Wednesday for a groundbreaking of 1237 California, a new, 40 unit, six story Humboldt Park property that will include 18 Project Based Vouchers.

“Through the Project Based Voucher program, CHA is providing $15.1 million in subsidies for 18 units through a 30-year commitment,” said Anna Garcia, CHA’s Project Based Voucher (PBV) Program Manager. “This long-term commitment to affordability is especially important in a neighborhood like Humboldt Park. Thanks to CHA’s rental assistance, families who live in Humboldt Park can remain in the community for years to come.”
