First Permanent Supportive Housing for Families Living with HIV or AIDS on the South Side Opens
CHA joined partners from Chicago House, the City of Chicago, State of Illinois and the Pritzker Family Foundation this month to celebrate the ribbon-cutting at Englewood Family Homes, the first permanent supportive housing development for families living with HIV or AIDS on the South Side.
CHA is proud to be providing Project Based Vouchers for more than half of the apartments in Englewood Family Homes. These vouchers will ensure long-term quality housing for families who might otherwise be facing homelessness. This housing will also offer on-site access to health and counseling services, and safe places for children to play. In short, it is housing that will provide families with the dignity that they deserve. Congratulations to all!
