Program Overview

The Resident Engagement in Community (REC) team provides two main resources for families living in mixed-income properties:

  1. Ombudsman Services

    Residents in mixed-income areas who have questions or concerns about their property or services can reach out to the Ombudsman for help. The REC team is a link between residents in mixed-income neighborhoods, property managers, and CHA staff.

  2. Community Engagement:

    The REC team hosts Resource Fairs and Listening Forums. These opportunities provide a place for residents to learn about CHA programs, community resources, and special opportunities in their mixed-income neighborhoods. They also team up with community organizations to support everyone and improve life for residents.
