CHA Hosts Housers from Around the Country at the NAHRO Symposium

CHA hosted more than 600 housing professionals from across the country at the National Association of Housing and Redevelopment Officials (NAHRO) Summer Symposium in Chicago earlier this month.

The conference theme, “The Past and Future History of Housing,” was fitting as attendees celebrated the 50th anniversary of the Housing Choice Voucher program and the soft opening of the National Public Housing Museum while fostering collaboration and collective impact.

Highlights of the symposium included insightful discussions led by CHA HCV Chief Cheryl Burns, informative property tours of the Roosevelt Square area, and speeches by Mayor Brandon Johnson, U.S. Congressman Danny Davis, CHA CEO Tracey Scott, and CHA Board President Angela Hurlock.
