Program Overview
Businesses that get money from HUD (like for building projects or other federal help) must offer job training, jobs, and contracts to people with low or very low incomes. Section 3 jobs are available to everyone, including both people who live in CHA housing and those who don't.
You can find available Section 3 jobs on the CHA WORC portal. CHA's WORC team can help connect you to Section 3 jobs with CHA contractors and partners. Businesses that want to hire

Eligibility for the Program
To sign up in the WORC portal, you need to meet at least one of these requirements from the last 5 years:
- CHA Public Housing resident
- CHA Housing Choice Voucher Participant
- Resident of other public or Section 8 assisted housing managed by CHA
- YouthBuild worker
- Chicago area resident earning below $62,800 per year

After you set up your profile, you can look for jobs and get emails when new ones are posted.

Apply for Jobs.
You have ten days to apply for a job after it's posted. Be sure to log in, find the job you want, update your resume, and apply before time runs out.
