Program Overview

Are you a CHA youth or young adult, ages 14-24? 

The SOAR program offers free, one-on-one support from our Education Program Specialists to help you plan for life after high school, no matter your path. Whether you’re exploring colleges, job training, or other opportunities, SOAR is like having an extra coach to help you succeed!

Benefits of the Program

An Education Program Specialist can help you:

  • Find the Right College or Program: Identify schools and programs that align with your goals and interests.
  • Resume Support: Help create and review your resume for jobs, apprenticeships, internships, and other opportunites.  
  • Complete Applications: Offer support with filling out applications for colleges, programs, and scholarships.
  • Save Money: Assist with completing the FAFSA form, getting the most financial aid, and finding scholarships to help pay for school.
  • Persisting to Graduation: Provide guidance through common college challenges and build a network for future success.
  • Find a Summer Internship
  • Get Connected to Career Pathways or Training Opportunities 

Eligibility for the Program

To participate, you must be:

  • a current CHA resident
  • between the ages of 14 and 24 years old
