Property Description

New Moms Transformation Center is a 40-unit development located in Chicago's Austin community. The Chicago Housing Authority provides rental assistance to 40 units through a Project Based Voucher (PBV) program. New Mom's provides supportive housing to homeless mothers age 18-24 with children. * This is a Demonstration Program. Participants can stay at New Mom's Transformation Center for a maximum of two years. Transfer to the Public Housing, Project Based Voucher (PBV) program requires a new waitlist application. Tenants are not eligible to transfer. * * Preference is given to Applicants that agree to share information with other homeless agencies and must be current with the Chicago Coordinated Entry System. Homeless preference is reviewed monthly. * All units are fully furnished with all utilities included. * Smoke-free building * Visitors are allowed from 8 am until 8 pm only. * Single mothers must be 18 to 24 years of age at time of move-in. * On-site supportive services are available. * Note: Building requirements are established by the individual property and not by the CHA.
