Program Overview
FamilyWorks helps families living in CHA’s public housing. FamilyWorks offers a variety of coaching services to help families in need. Families benefit from needs assessments, goal planning, coaching support, and referrals to essential services both internal and external to CHA.
Benefits of the Program
FamilyWorks providers offer a range of services to help residents thrive, including:
- Housing Stability: Coaching supports to help you be compliant with your lease and work requirement.
- Employment Support: Job readiness training, and referral to CHA’s Workforce Opportunity Resource Center (WORC) and retention services to help you find and keep a job.
- Digital and Financial Literacy: Enhance your skills by visiting a CHA Digital Resource Center and referral to participate in CHA’s LevelUp program.
- Support Services: Assistance with referrals to child care, senior services, utility assistance, and more.
- Parenting Support: Guidance and resources to help you with parenting.
- Youth Activities: Opportunities for children and youth to engage in out-of-school-time activities.
Eligibility for the Program
FamilyWorks services are available to all family public housing residents. Families living in CHA’s scattered site and mixed income portfolios will receive services through Service Coordination Specialists.
