Development Update: Celebrating The Rehab Of Irene Mccoy Gaines Apartments

CHA and the Michael’s Organization celebrated the grand opening of the $45 million rehab of Irene McCoy Gaines Apartments, a 150-unit CHA senior property in East Garfield Park. The 17-story building, more than five decades old, will remain affordable for years to come after work financed through the U.S.

Health & Wellness Program

The CHA-HCV Health & Wellness Program (HWP) was created in June 2022 to offer support to current HCV participants. The HWP provides individual and family therapy, case management, and can help participants find care in their community. The HWP also helps participants find general resources for basic needs.

Regional Offices/Appointments

CHA’s HCV Program offices are open from 8:30 a.m. – 5:00 p.m., Monday through Friday (closed weekends and in observance of federal holidays).

For account-related assistance, HCV participant families should contact the CHA Customer Call Center by email at hcv@thecha.org or by phone at 312-935-2600 (TTY 312-461-0079). If the specialists cannot assist you, they will assign the inquiry to the appropriate team.
